Instrumental and Vocal Instruction

Instrumental and Vocal Instruction is offered all summer, and you can customize the number weeks to suit your needs.  Summer is the perfect time to “test drive” a new instrument, or to continue studying with your regular teacher (check with our Registrar Song Gonzalez for summer faculty availability).

The Conservatory’s eight-week summer session offers a flexible schedule that fits with your summer plans. 

Four two-week sessions are offered, with early drop-off and extended day options – and you can sign up for any or all of them. Sessions 1-3 offer instrumental classes, acting, singing, creative movement, games, songwriting, and arts and crafts. Half-day and full-day options are available. 

Summer Music & Arts takes place during the first three sessions, June 26th through August 4th. Come play music, sing, act and create your own masterpiece! The Conservatory’s summer program is fun and engaging for children while providing the highest quality arts instruction. Your child will be placed in a small group organized by age in order to maximize fun and learning. An experienced counselor leads each group so children are fully engaged and make new friends easily. 

Musical Theatre Immersion is a full day program focusing on stage skills, teamwork, and self-confidence, culminating in the production of a one-hour musical. Activities include acting, singing, dance/movement, memorization, set and prop design, and more. Students learn songs and scenes from musical theatre pieces, with solo and monologue opportunities for more advanced students. All Musical Theatre Immersion classes are taught by members of the Conservatory’s expert faculty.This is a two-week session from August 7-18th, 9am - 3:30pm and is open to children in grades 1-6.

Suzuki Spectacular Week is a week of in-depth instruction on Violin, Cello or Guitar using the renowned Suzuki method. Classes include semi-private & group lessons, chamber ensembles, Baroque music, music theory, movement and more! This spectacular week will be from August 7-11th, 9am to 3:30pm and is for grades K – 8. A Beginner Suzuki Special option is available for ages 4 and up, which will include a semi-private lesson and group class, and will take place between 11am – 12pm or 4pm – 5pm.

Hip-Hop Workshop explores the undeniable influence of hip-hop on today’s music. Join the Hip-Hop Revolution this summer and learn to write your own music! Classes will include Beat Production, History of Hip-Hop, Lyrical Flow, Composition, Theory & Analysis and more. This amazing week of Hip-Hop will take place August 14-18th, 9am to 3:30pm and is for middle and high school students.
