Performances and Distinctions: Elliot Magaziner has enjoyed a long career as a violinist, conductor and educator.  As a recitalist he appeared in major cities around the world including New York, Washington, Paris, Amsterdam, and many others. Orchestral appearances include the New York Philharmonic and L’Orchestre Symphonique de Paris. As a chamber musician he has played with the Guilet Quartet, the Metropolitan String Quartet, and the Columbia Broadcasting Quartet. For 27 years he was a violinist in the CBS Orchestra, appearing weekly on television and recording on major labels. Mr. Magaziner formerly served on the faculty of Manhattanville College, and has also taught Concordia College, New York University, Purchase College, and SUMMIT International Music Festival.

Teaching Philosophy: “I firmly believe that approaches to technique and musicianship should be incorporated with major composers from the beginning. One of the great values, aside from the aesthetic enjoyment of this fine art, is instilling discipline from the start which can be as easily learned from Bach and Mozart as from purely pedagogic composers.”
