Tatianna Longo was born in the Ukraine. She earned her bachelors degree music from Uzhgorod Music College and a masters degree in orchestral and chamber music from Lvov Conservatory of Music. She also holds certification in the Suzuki Method from Elizabethtown College in New Jersey.
Since coming to America in 1991, Tatiana has taught at Westminster Conservatory, Stuart Country Day School and Rutgers Preparatory School. She has been on faculty at the Music Conservatory of Westchester since 2004. “I believe in offering my students positive reinforcement and encouraging their creativity,” says Tatiana. “I enjoy working with young children. Typically, I modify the music curriculum to meet their individual needs and incorporate the Suzuki Method which allows them to comprehend and perform music at a rudimentary level. I emphasize the combination of the Suzuki and traditional methods to develop and refine their learning skills.” Tatiana enjoys playing with orchestras and chamber groups, and played for ten years with the Budapest Philharmonic. She also has expertise in European classical, romantic and twentieth-century Russian music. Photo/Pinsky Studio |

"I am very happy and proud of Jun Luke Foster’s and Benjamin Boventer’s achievements. I taught Jun Luke for 12 years and his acceptance to Juilliard School of Music is a great sign of his musical maturity and accomplishment. He was also accepted to Harvard and Yale. Benjamin was with me for five years. He won a prestigious $40,000 scholarship from Skidmore College for music studies. He was the only pianist in that competition who received this award. He was also accepted at Tufts University. It is very satisfying to know that our students continue to achieve such success." —Svetlana Gorokovich, MCW Faculty |
