Angeline Brown was born in New York City and grew up in Yorktown Heights, New York. She began studying piano at the age of four, and went on to earn a B.A. with a concentration in classical piano from Binghamton University. During that time  she truly found her love of theatre, becoming the music director for several theatrical productions throughout her years there.  Angeline also enjoyed her time as a music director, arranger, and featured soloist for the “Harpur Harpeggios”, Binghamton’s all-female a cappella singing ensemble.

Angeline earned a masters degree in Music Therapy from Temple University in 1997.  In 2001, Angeline joined the Conservatory family in 2001 as a faculty member of the Music Therapy Institute. She works extensively through the outreach program in 10 different therapeutic pre-school, elementary, and high schools across the Westchester area.  Angeline primarily works with children with developmental, physical, and learning disabilities, as well as children on the autistic spectrum.  Angeline also enjoys her work with adults ranging in needs, both at the Conservatory, and in numerous outreach settings.

Throughout her years practicing music therapy, Angeline has continued to pursue music directing in Community Theaters across the Westchester, Putnam, and Connecticut areas.   In 2008, Angeline joined the theatre department at the Conservatory, as the music director for the Saturday Musical Theatre Workshop.  She is also the music director and glee club director for the summer Music and Arts program, working with children ages 6-14.

Angeline believes that theater is a wonderful way to help children gain confidence in themselves and their abilities.  What children learn through their involvement in theatre can truly help them throughout their lives, no matter what they choose to pursue.   “I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to witness the wonderful growth that happens as I work with each individual child”.

"I am very happy and proud of Jun Luke Foster’s and Benjamin Boventer’s achievements. I taught
Jun Luke for 12 years and his acceptance to Juilliard School of Music is a great sign of his musical maturity and accomplishment. He was also accepted to Harvard and Yale. Benjamin was with me for five years. He won a prestigious $40,000 scholarship from Skidmore College for music studies. He was the only pianist in that competition who received this award. He was also accepted at Tufts University. It is very satisfying to know that our students continue to achieve such success."
